Chelsea Quinn Yarbro (born September 15, 1942) is an American writer renowned for her extensive body of work across multiple genres, including horror, science fiction, and historical fiction. She is best known for her series of historical horror novels featuring the vampire Count Saint-Germain.

Early Life and Education

Yarbro was born in Berkeley, California, and attended local schools through high school. She pursued higher education at San Francisco State College (now University) for three years.

Career

With a writing career spanning over 45 years, Yarbro has authored more than 70 novels and numerous short stories, working in genres ranging from science fiction to westerns, young adult adventure, and historical horror. Her most acclaimed work is the Count Saint-Germain series, which blends historical settings with supernatural elements.

In addition to her fiction, Yarbro has published volumes in the “Messages from Michael” series, which presents channeled wisdom from the entity Michael.

Personal Life

Yarbro married Donald Simpson in November 1969; they divorced in February 1982. She has no children.
